Visible Signs Of Cellulite

What Is The Best Treatment For Cellulite?

From A-list models and celebrities to everyday mums and even athletes in their prime, cellulite is one of the most common body issues that we experience. In fact, cellulite is so common that nearly every woman will experience it at some point in her life. Some statistics put the number as high as 93% of women having cellulite.

There are great resources available online to help remind you to love the skin you’re in and maintain a healthy lifestyle. But we also believe that every woman should be empowered to make the choice that’s right for her regarding how she looks after her body. To help you make an informed choice we’ve explored some of the most popular options for cellulite on thighs, arms and legs, including the overall best cellulite and stretch mark treatment (pst we think we’ve got it down to a fine art, but more about that later).

Do Cellulite Treatments Work?

Before we tell you about the scientifically proven, unique, non-invasive cellulite treatment offered at Elite Body Contouring, we wanted to explore some of the other options that you may be considering.

Weight Loss

What It Does: Some people find that reducing their weight can help make cellulite less visible. In addition if you also work on strengthening your body and toning your muscles this can help reduce the appearance of cellulite in some cases. Weight loss may be especially useful as part of a cellulite reduction program if your weight is currently above the recommended BMI for your height.

Pluses: Regardless of its effectiveness at reducing cellulite, keeping your weight at a healthy level is going to be beneficial for your overall health and wellbeing.

Minuses: Weight loss can be a daunting task for all of us and it can be very disheartening when this work doesn’t result in the cellulite reduction you’re trying to achieve. While cellulite and stretch marks can be more prevalent for people who are overweight, they can also be quite common in people who are already at or close to their goal weight. Additionally, losing weight can sometimes create loose skin which can lead to an increase in cellulite and the appearance of new stretch marks.

Verdict: We always recommend a healthy lifestyle, including good nutrition and frequent exercise in addition to any other treatments for reducing cellulite. That being said, as a stand alone answer to the issue of cellulite, weight loss does not provide the reliable results that people are looking for.

Creams and lotions

What It Does: There are literally thousands of creams, washes, masks and gels on the market that make a variety of claims regarding their ability to get rid of cellulite. The theory is that by rubbing these anti cellulite creams into cellulite dimples and problem areas they can help to tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Pluses: The ritual of applying moisturisers and other body products is enjoyable for many women and can leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Also unlike surgery, the application of various creams and lotions is unlikely to cause you any serious harm.

Minuses: You may be spending a lot of time and money on a treatment that is just not scientifically proven to provide any relief for cellulite. If what you really want is an improvement in the appearance of your dimpled skin, why not use the best cellulite treatment available?

Verdict: While many creams and lotions claim to reduce the appearance of cellulite by smoothing dimpled skin, their results – if visible at all – are only ever temporary. Massaging a cellulite moisturiser into your skin might appear to make a difference for an hour or two, but that could be as much from the temporary benefit of the blood flow stimulating massage as the product itself.

Laser-Assisted Liposuction

What It Does: Liposuction is an invasive medical procedure where incisions are made into the skin and fat is sucked out of the body. When the liposuction is laser-assisted the surgeon inserts a laser into the incision which liquefies the fat. They will then insert a tube through which they suck the fat from under your skin.

Pluses: Some cosmetic surgeons believe that adding a laser treatment to liposuction could help to get rid of cellulite. However, the scientific consensus is that it’s too soon to tell whether this laser-assisted liposuction is effective.

Minuses: Apart from all the potential risks and complications that come with any surgery, liposuction has been known to actually increase the appearance of cellulite by creating contour irregularities and loose skin.

Verdict: Laser-assisted liposuction carries risks, including bleeding and anesthetic reaction. If the treatment doesn’t work as anticipated for you, you could end up worse then when you started with skin that appear bumpy, wavy or withered following uneven fat removal.

Best Non Invasive Cellulite Treatment

Our unique approach to getting rid of cellulite involves three complementary treatments that work together to melt fat, regenerate collagen, improve circulation and smooth the surface of your skin. This multi-step approach has been consistently successful at achieving real and visible results for our clients.

Step 1 – Ultrasound Fat Cavitation: Ultrasound Fat Cavitation is a medical grade fat reduction technology for body contouring and cellulite treatment. It is especially good at targeting localised fat deposits and deeply connected cellulite.

Step 2 – Radio Frequency Fat Melting: Radio Frequency Fat Melting works to melt and flatten the fat cells, resulting in a smoother appearance to the skin. Radio Frequency Fat Melting is a great treatment for cellulite as it works to target superficial layers of fat by melting and flattening the fat cells which reduces the appearance of cellulite.

Step 3 – Dermology OR Shockwave: Our automated vacuum roller with inbuilt radio frequency improves lymphatic drainage and increases blood circulation which can assist with the smoothing of cellulite. This Dermology technology enhances cavitation and radio frequency results by assisting the movement of the liquified fat through the lymphatic system. We also offer Acoustic Wave Therapy, which works by stimulating fat breakdown, enhancing collagen synthesis, and assisting with lymphatic drainage.
