What is Non-Surgical
Fat Reduction?
Non-surgical fat reduction is a non-invasive method for targeting and reducing stubborn fat in specific areas of the body. While treated fat cells are permanently eliminated, these treatments are not a substitute for a balanced diet or regular exercise.
Unlike invasive treatments like liposuction or abdominoplasty, non-surgical fat reduction treatments require no hospital stay. These walk-in, walk-out sessions typically take less than 90 minutes.
At Elite Body Contouring, we use a combination of award-winning, clinically proven, medical-grade technologies to help you achieve the fat-loss results you’re looking for — all without the need for surgery!

How To Choose the Right Treatment for You
Your journey with Elite Body Contouring starts with a personalised consultation designed to understand your body goals and recommend the best treatment plan for you.
1. In-Depth Body Assessment
We'll conduct a comprehensive body composition analysis, providing detailed insights into muscle mass, fat distribution, and overall progress potential. This helps us understand the areas you’d like to target and how our treatments can best support your objectives.
2. Comprehensive Medical Analysis
Before beginning treatment, we conduct a thorough review of your medical history to ensure our stubborn fat reduction treatments are safe and appropriate for you. This step allows us to tailor your plan while prioritising your well-being.
While our treatments are non-invasive, certain medical conditions may make them unsuitable for you. You may not be a candidate if you:
- Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a pacemaker, stents, or any active implanted medical devices
- Are diagnosed with a bleeding disorder or are currently taking blood-thinning medications
- Have had recent surgery or scar tissue in the treatment area
- Have liver or kidney disease
- Have previously been diagnosed with cancer or are currently receiving treatment for it
- Have type 1 diabetes
- Have metal implants in the treatment area
- Experience impaired skin sensation
- Have open wounds, infections or active skin conditions such as eczema or dermatitis
- Have a hernia or a history of hernias near the treatment site
To ensure the best and safest outcome, it’s essential to disclose your complete medical history and any medications you’re currently taking.
3. Defining Your Individual Goals and Ideal Outcomes
Everybody is unique, and your treatment plan should be too. In your consultation, your therapist will dive into your goals, address any concerns, and consider lifestyle habits and factors to craft a bespoke treatment plan.
They’ll walk you through how our advanced fat reduction technologies work, explain the differences between each option, and suggest the most ideal approach based on your priorities.
4. Personalising Your Treatment Plan
Once we’ve determined that you're an eligible candidate for one of our treatments, we’ll outline a personalised plan, including:
- The number of follow-up sessions required for optimal results
- General pre- and post-treatment care
You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions so you are completely informed before booking your first session.
Limitations of Non-Invasive Fat Reduction Treatments
While our treatments offer a targeted approach to refining stubborn areas of fat, they do have limitations:
Not a Weight-Loss Solution
Our treatments are designed for body contouring, not overall weight reduction. They specifically target localised pockets of fat in areas that may be resistant to diet and exercise, helping to refine and sculpt your natural shape.
Results Vary
Everyone’s body responds differently to fat reduction treatments. Factors such as metabolism, genetics, lifestyle, and the body's natural fat elimination process can all influence how quickly and effectively you see changes. Some clients may notice visible improvements sooner, while others might require more time to achieve their desired outcome.
May Trigger Side Effects
It's rare, but some people experience swelling, numbness, bruising, redness, sensitivity, or discomfort in the treated area as their body begins to process and eliminate the fat cells. These effects are usually mild and temporary, but it's essential to monitor your skin in the hours and days following your session. Sticking to your therapist’s prescribed aftercare routine will help minimise complications and support your body's natural healing process.
If any side effects persist or become more intense, contact us and your general practitioner immediately for prompt assistance.
Requires a Healthy Lifestyle
Fat reduction treatments can help refine your shape, but long-term maintenance depends on your lifestyle choices. Eating a balanced diet, staying hydrated and engaging in regular physical activity will support and prolong your results. While the treated fat cells are permanently eliminated, new fat cells can still develop if a healthy lifestyle isn’t maintained.
Progress Is Gradual
Non-invasive fat reduction works over time, allowing your body to naturally process and dispose of the treated fat cells. You may begin to see changes within a few weeks, but full results typically develop over several weeks to months as your body continues to respond to the treatment.
Multiple Sessions May Be Needed
Depending on the area being treated and the amount of fat being treated, a series of sessions may be required for optimal results.
