1. Why does Elite Body Contouring use the InBody 770?
Elite Body Contouring is always on the look out for the latest and greatest technology in every aspect of the body contouring industry! From non-invasive fat reduction equipment, to the most innovative new ways to MEASURE RESULTS. We decided to invest in the InBody 770 body composition scanning technology as we believe it is the MOST ACCURATE way to measure the true effect of our treatments.
Previously, results were measured using a tape measure and scales, which in many cases, resulted in inconsistent measurements of results, as well as inaccurate measurement of results.
More importantly, only using these old methods of measuring results, we are unable to determine what is going on inside of the body – which actually plays a massive role in the overall results.
Your diet, visceral fat, exercise, water content and protein levels etc all contribute to your results which is why we track all of these on a weekly basis with the InBody Body Composition Scanner.
Knowing the amount of body fat and muscle mass within your body is a great way of assessing whether your nutritional and exercise choices are working for your body.
2. What is an InBody Body Composition Scan?
An InBody Body Composition scan is the ultimate way to measure results, track fitness progress and determine overall health.
By measuring the body’s composition data, you are able to break down over 40 parameters, including proteins, mineral, water intake, visceral fat, fat in each area of the body as well as muscle in each area of the body and bone mineral content.
By only stepping on a set of scales you are unable to obtain a true picture of what is happening with your body and take the necessary steps to take control of your body and get the results you are working so hard to achieve.
The InBody uses an electric current that runs through your body giving you exact measurements every time without fail.
3. InBody VS DEXA…
InBody is correlated to be 98% as accurate as the top level DEXA (Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry) scan across a broad spectrum, non-standardised population including children, elderly, obese and athletes. This is of paramount importance as standardising data produce inaccurate results.
The significant use of empirical data is seen by emittance in medical research. InBody has been used extensively throughout medical and scientific research worldwide. It is used in hospitals around the globe, by top sporting teams and even N.A.S.A.
With a DEXA scan you need to make an appointment, get undressed and you are only able to perform one once every 3 months as you will be exposed to the radiation it emits.
Unlike the DEXA, you are able to perform an InBody composition scan every week as it uses an electric current to take the measurements and no radiation is emitted. The other advantages of having an inbody body composition scan at Elite Body Contouring include not having to make an appointment and not having to get undressed. It’s a quick, easy and convenient process.
The InBody Body Composition scanner is trusted by top hospitals and used for medical research, patient monitoring, sports medicine and sports science. It is also TGA approved and uses patented technology.
4. Why we chose the InBody over the DEXA?
We decided to get the InBody body composition scanner as we need to be able to track our clients progress week to week as a lot can happen in 3 month. If we waited 3 months and the client was not on the right track, we would not be able to intervene when we notice their Visceral fat fluctuating which will effect the results.
With a DEXA it is only recommended you perform 4 scans per year as a guideline as it emits radiation. InBody allows unlimited scans to be performed via it’s safe and accurate method.
5. What is Visceral fat and why does it play such a big role in weight fluctuation?
Visceral fat is the protective layer of fat wrapped around your internal organs which stops toxins reaching your organs and causing harm. Too much visceral fat can lead to weight gain, heart disease and is extremely dangerous to your health and wellbeing.
By using the InBody body composition scanner, we are able to identify exactly how much visceral fat you have inside of your body and will also be able to monitor this.
By intervening when visceral fat is increasing, we are able to put our clients back on the right track in terms of diet and exercise.
Visceral fat will effect results for all non-surgical body contouring treatments including Cryolipolysis Fat Freezing, Cavitation and Cellulite treatments. As we are trying to reduce the fat cells with our technology, if you are doing the right thing in terms of diet and exercise, the surrounding fat cells will not expand and the true results of our treatments will be evident. The opposite will occur if your visceral fat increases.
6.Why we use the InBody Body Composition Scanner to measure results for Fat Freezing?
The InBody body composition scanner is able to measure the exact amount of fat reduced between treatments. As Cryolipolysis fat freezing permanently destroys 20-40% of the fat cells within the localised area, it can be hard to see that 20% reduction using only the naked eye, so this is where the InBody body composition scanner comes into play.
We are the only non-surgical body contouring clinic in Sydney (and Australia) that is able to determine the exact amount of fat in your trunk, legs, and arms as well as providing the circumference measurement of each treatment area, to help determine your results.
We incorporate the InBody body composition scanner to track results for fat freezing as we can break down the fat content in each part of the body, measure water intake which helps to flush out the dead fat cells in between treatments, and visceral fat which will alter results if your levels are rising due to an unbalanced diet and poor nutritional choices.
7. Why we use the InBody body composition scanner to measure results for Cavitation?
Cavitation gives you an overall fat reduction as well as smoothing out cellulite and fat pockets. The InBody body composition scanner measures the circumference as well the amount of fat content in each part of your body PLUS visceral fat which gives us the ability to determine exact results week to week.
8. Why we use the InBody Body Composition scanner to measure results for Cellulite Treatments
Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has a dimpled, lumpy appearance, which usually affects the thighs (both front and back), the buttocks and can occur in other areas.
Cellulite occurs when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin.
Around 90% of women may experience cellulite at some point in their lives.
At Elite Body Contouring we offer a tailored cellulite reduction treatment in Sydney which incorporates Cavitation which is an Ultrasound technology that liquifies the fat cell membrane, Radio Frequency which is a heat induced technology that targets your Subcutaneous fat (shallow fat) and Shockwave which helps with Lymphatic drainage as well as blood circulation to smooth out fat cells and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
We incorporate the InBody body composition scanner into our cellulite treatments to measure the circumference of the area week to week and also to track Visceral fat which is affected by your diet.
When your Visceral fat goes up, you will be expanding the size of your fat cells, which can alter your results, so having the ability to be able to monitor this helps us keep our clients on the right track and achieve the results they have been working so hard to achieve.
