Lipo procedure time:

2-4 hours for the procedure and 4+ hours recovery post procedure

  • Bleeding:  This is not a major problem but it is common to have bruising in the area after surgery and liposuction.
  • Nerve injury: All major vessels and nerves are at a deeper plane. Nevertheless, small nerve fibres under the skin can be damaged and cause temporary numbness.
  • Superficial thromboplebitis: sometimes, if the superficial veins are damaged in liposuction, the patient will notice a palpable reddish tender cord along the course of the vein. How does non-surgical liposuction Cryolipolysis work?

Fat cells start to freeze at -1 degrees, Cryolipolysis works by freezing the fat cells to temperatures from -6 degrees and below which then results in the fat cells permanently being destroyed and crystallising. Once the fat cells crystallise your body then recognises them as a toxin that needs to be removed from your body. The dead fat cells then go through your body’s own natural elimination process which is to be processed through your liver and then expelled wither via your urine or your sweat, which means the more water you are drinking and the more you are excessing the faster the dead fat cells will be processed through your system.

When is best to do this service?

As there is no downtime Cryolipolysis is a convenient treatment that can be performed on at your convenience, even during your lunch break.

Are there any risks?

As non-surgical liposuction Cryolipolysis is non invasive and nothing foreign is being introduced to the body there is no risk of infection. Following your treatment you may be numb for up to a few weeks, bruising, the area may be swollen and there will be redness in the area for about an hr.

What are the results I can expect?

Cryolipolysis permanently destroys between 20-40% of the fat cells within the targeted area each time. The results from cryolipolysis will start to kick in 8weeks post treatment as it takes your body about 8 weeks to naturally flush out all of the dead fat cells and toxins killed during the treatment. Once the dead fat cells are flushed out of your system the results will gradually start to show over the following months.

Cryolipolysis is a process with recommendation of 4 sessions spaced at 8 week intervals. Each time a treatment is performed 20-40% of the fat cells within the targeted area will be permanently destroyed.
