You will share your medical history, including any existing conditions. Based on your consultation, your therapist will decide if you’re a suitable candidate for this treatment. If not, they will recommend another suitable treatment to help you achieve your goals. We encourage clients to come prepared with questions and goals. Our therapists are here to provide clarity and guidance, as we want you to feel confident and informed about every step of the process.
At Elite Body Contouring, we go beyond standard consultations. Using the advanced Inbody scan, we comprehensively analyse your body composition. This helps us design a customised treatment plan that aligns with your expectations and provides measurable progress tracking throughout your journey.
- Pre-care
If it’s determined that Cryolipolysis suits your needs, they will inform you of all the steps you should take before treatment. These include the following:
- Dietary needs — Avoid a heavy meal and fatty foods one hour before treatment. Avoid caffeine two hours before treatment and alcohol 24 hours before treatment.
- Heat and sun exposure — Avoid laser treatments two weeks before treatment and avoid excessive sun exposure 48 hours before treatment. This is essential as our therapists will refuse to treat any skin suffering from burns or open wounds. In this case, we will advise clients to wait until the skin is entirely healed before treatment.
- Eligibility for treatment — Please note you will not be able to complete this treatment if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Avoid blood thinners — You should avoid consuming blood thinners or aspirin before treatment, as they can increase the risk of bruising. Please advise our therapist of any blood-thinning medications you are taking and they will gladly assist you further.
- Do not smoke — If you smoke, we recommend you quit or significantly reduce smoking before and after treatment to maximise healing and reduce the risk of complications.
- Treatment preparation — Ensure you wear comfortable, loose-fitting, non-restrictive clothing. You should have no patches or bandages concealing the treatment area. We also suggest you arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your appointment to complete any necessary paperwork.

- Postpone any hair removal — Refrain from waxing the treated area for three to five days, and do not laser the treated area for two weeks.
- Exercise — Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid excessive heat and sun exposure — For 24 hours post-treatment, avoid hot baths, steam rooms, massages and sunburn from sun exposure.
- Follow-up consult — After 12 weeks, we will organise a follow-up appointment to track your progress. This is an excellent opportunity to evaluate your results and discuss any additional sessions needed to achieve your goals.
